Experience:
Nicolas, a GIS analyst, is specialised in Python programming, and data management. Since joining Wood, he has developed an array of tools and spatial data workflows. He has managed to the highest standard robust large spatial datasets; regularly updating them with a large variety of data collected from field workers, contractors, clients or open-source datasets. He has developed and maintained both internal (Entreprise) and external (Online) WebGIS viewers for a variety of offshore and onshore projects (e.g. Overhead Power Line field support, Offshore Hydrogen Pipeline Routing, Onshore Carbon Capture Pipeline Routing). These applications assisted with the visualisation and analysis of complex spatial information. He communicates with a variety of stakeholders, from clients to engineers, and has experience explaining and rationalising his GIS solutions and workflows. He has a great understanding of spatial data, spatial projections, and their manipulations though python with both open-source libraries and paid API-based libraries (arcpy). He has created a variety maps, plans and reports for both internal and external (client) purposes.
